Speaker: Angie Laskarides

As temperatures cool down in Arizona, join us to learn more about this hot topic. Angie Laskarides will share the latest information on family wealth transfers. Learn more about the family dynamics involved with planned giving including perceptions of legacy and inheritance on the part of heirs. During this valuable session, Angie will review strategies professional advisors may utilize to cultivate a successful and positive experience for both clients and their heirs. Nonprofits may choose to apply the strategies to their planned giving programs and donor relationships. You will leave with a greater understanding of how to navigate family issues and concerns.

Angie Laskarides is the Regional Director, Arizona Community Foundation. Since 2105, Angie has used her decades of experience working with nonprofit groups both large and small, to serve Cohise County and Southern Arizona. She has a passion for helping community-oriented organizations reach their true potential.

Laskarides has more than 25 years of experience working with nonprofit agencies in a variety of roles throughout her career, from national associations based on Washington, D.C., to smaller, local level community groups. Prior to her role at the Arizona Community Foundation, Laskarides worked as a member of Arizona State University’s Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation.

She worked for the Red Cross for 10 years as an executive director and regional director. Angie’s experience extends to the other end of the nonprofit funding chain as well, having sat on granting committees for the United Way and other Community Foundations, and even her own nonprofit.
